‘The Great Race’ is a friendly, but very competitive time trial held every year between Indian and pre-1956 Harley motorbikes. The inaugural race was held in 1994 with 2 teams of seven riders/bikes.
In 2012, I was commissioned to produce a 148-page hardcover book documenting the event up to it’s 20th Anniversary race which had grown to 80 entrants in each team. Attracting riders and bikes from overseas and a spectator fleet in the hundreds, The Great Race has become a wonderful celebration of motorcycling’s greatest rivalry.
FOLLOW-UP: Revisiting the race to create 2013’s poster, signage and T-shirt design.
Further poster design and branding followed.
